Garry Vaux

Heralding from the beautiful city of York, Garry wrote his first story for a school English project at the age of 14 and got an A grade for the story about an accident prone teddy bear and that encouraged him to write some more.

After messing up his ‘A’ Levels he spent the summer months basking on the top of hay bales dreaming up new characters and stories whilst everyone else was furthering their education at university.

When the real world kicked in, he got a job in a design studio and his writing was pushed to one side, but now, some twenty years laters, he’s gone back to his first love to bring his ideas to life.

In 2009 he was described as a ‘quirky author’, something which Garry has embraced to the full with a wide variety of different books already and an eye for something that little bit different.

Garry is also a professional cartoonist and illustrator. You can see his work at www.garryvaux.co.uk
